1. ANTHEM LIGHTS – ANTHEM LIGHTS

Anthem Lights’ self-titled debut album is my favorite new Christian album this year. The album is an amazing inspirational work of art. With songs like “Can’t Shut Up” and “I Wanna Know You Like That”, the album inspires listeners to be active about their faith.

2. CASTING CROWNS – COME TO THE WELL

Casting Crowns’ Come to the Well is number two on my  list. This album is a must listen for anyone interested in Christian music. It focuses on a number of different relationships in a Christian’s life with the most important one being their relationship to God. Songs like “Courageous” stress the importance of action not just belief.

3. ROYAL TAYLOR – BLACK AND WHITE

Royal Taylor’s debut album Black and White is number three on my list. With a combination of R&B, Pop and Hip-hop styles, the album became an instant favorite. Songs like “Hold Me Together” and “Wannabe,” inspires listeners with hope and salvation.

4. SWITCHFOOT – VICE VERSES

Switchfoot’s Vice Verses makes it to number four on my list. After being released in the last quarter of the year, listeners were quick to classify it as a Christian album with rock sensibilities. My favorite song in the album is “Restless,” which talks about searching for God under all circumstances.

5. HAWK NELSON – CRAZY LOVE

Hawk Nelson’s album Crazy Love completes my list. Many might find that some of the songs sound familiar, because the song “Crazy Love” became a huge hit when it was released. It became Hawk Nelson’s anthem and declared Christians as strong believers who love everyone. This album has inspired me to be a better Christian.
