On April 2 and 3, AU held their two day Undergraduate Research Conference.
According to AU’s online campus calendar, this is the university’s eighth annual conference that “[featured] student papers and poster presentations from across disciplines.”
The conference, which began on that Monday at 8:00 a.m. and on Tuesday at 8:30 a.m., was held in both UBH North and UBH South as well as in the Schingoethe Museum, depending on the presentation.
Some of the most informative presentations were of the Athletic Training Senior Seminar, sponsored by Professor Oscar Krieger; Laura Vincent’s The Effects of Medications on Alzheimer’s, sponsored by Dr. John Lloyd; and Zach Strupeck’s presentation on the Three Awesome Religious Holidays which was sponsored by Dr. Jonathan Dean, Dr. Martin Forward, and the Honors Program.
Throughout the entire presentations, many audience members were interested to what the speakers had to say. Though it seemed that the majority of the students were there because their professor made it mandatory, the looks on their faces displayed otherwise.
All presentations were well equipped with research and aimed at informing the audience on specific topics.
The conference was held on Monday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Tuesday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
