The latest season of Glee is winding down and with it leaves two great actors and a great actress. With the final episodes of the season soon approaching, many gleekers are anxious and uncertain. Just like in our college years today, students will be graduating from
McKinley High in the glee world. This season has seen many exciting changes, Rachel and Finn as well as Emma and Will’s decision to get married, students like Puck owning his career and job opportunities, redemption for Quinn, and new characters like Rory Flannigan (Damien McGinty) and Joe Hart (Samuel Larsen).
This brings about an excitement for the next installation of the show, but also a little remorse and sadness for the cast members that will be leaving. Fan favorites Rachel Berry, Finn Hudson and Kurt Hummel will be graduating at the end of this season.
As stated in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, “You can keep them on the show for six years and people will criticize you for not being realistic, or you can be really true to life and say when they started the show they were very clearly sophomores and they should graduate at the end of their senior year,” said Ryan Murphy.
This season has clearly shown its fans that change can be a good thing. Seniors need to graduate and move on with life. Kurt, Rachel and Finn will be sorely missed next season, but it’s exciting to see them embark on a new journey.
