Chilly? Get Moving with AU Wellness Center!

With November beginning, and the warm breezes of autumn quickly coming to an end, Aurora
University students may be looking for new ways to stay warm and get some exercise. Luckily,
AU’s Wellness Center offers many fun and easy ways to stay warm and fit this fall, including
group classes and equipment rentals.
For those who lack motivation, or enjoy exercising with friends, the Wellness Center offers
group fitness classes. With both Zumba and Fitness Boot Camp classes taught by experienced
and enthusiastic instructors, there is plenty of options for students seeking action during the
colder days.
Zumba classes for this semester meet on Mondays, from 7 P.M. to 8 P.M., and Tuesdays from
8:30 P.M. to 9:30 P.M. in the Activity Room located in the lower level of Alumni Hall. Boot Camp
classes take place at the same location, on Wednesdays from 12 P.M. to 1 P.M. Participation is
free and no pre-registration is required.
For those who prefer to exercise on their own time, the Wellness Center also offers pedometer
and electronic jump rope rentals to students on a week-by-week basis. Students can choose to
rent these items, with or without instructional fitness videos. These are rented to AU students for
To rent fitness equipment, students may visit the Wellness Center, located on the south side of
Aurora University’s campus, at 1400 Southlawn. Operating hours are between 8:30 A.M and 4
P.M. Monday through Friday.
