AURORA, IL—November 29, 2017—Aurora University’s American Marketing Association chapter will host final Professional Development event of the year, “Getting Started in Investing”, in Ethel Tapper Recital Hall on December 5.
For anyone who has thought about investing, but does not know quite where to start, this event is sure to be informative and helpful. “Getting Started in Investing”, while it is hosted by AU/AMA, is open to all Aurora University students, and will provide important information on how college students can begin investing, even on a tight budget.
At the event, students will hear from professionals about how to navigate the confusing world of investing, and an Aurora University alumnus will also be speaking about how he began the investment journey with fewer than $75 in hand.
This event is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 in Aurora University’s Ethel Tapper Recital Hall, located within Stephens Hall, from 5:15 P.M. to 6:15 P.M. There is no prior registration required to attend, and admission is free.
Jillian Jungels, AU/AMA’s Vice President of Professional Development, says the event will be very helpful and explanatory. “There will be a Q&A session following the event, so students can ask him [the AU alumnus] questions about his presentation or advice about investing,” says Jungels.
Additionally, this event counts as a Junior Mentoring credit for any junior-level student who still needs to complete his or her final Junior Mentoring experience of the semester. To claim this event as a Junior Mentoring credit, simply obtain a Junior Mentoring card from an onsite faculty member and place it in the collection box on the second floor of Dunham Hall.
